This old farmhouse between Nijmegen and ’s-Hertogenbosch which has been converted into a brewery offers an unbelievable range of activities in a typical Dutch rural setting. Enjoy the ‘Burgundian braai’ barbecue, watch the children fly through the air on the trampoline, sample one (or more) of the ten home-brewed beers or spirits, cycle or walk along one of the many lovely routes on the dike and enjoy everything that the hospitable and intimate cuisine has to offer, right throughout the year. “Whether you’re on the terrace in the summer or sitting indoors in winter, it’s always enjoyable.” commented a previous guest.

Converted farmhouse
You can see the history of the farming business displayed in the Brewery’s many rooms. The traditional industrial Brouwruimte (Brewery) with its Brouwlokaal (Brewhouse) is currently the workplace of de Brouwer and de Stoker. Old recipes with surprising ingredients are followed in the Brewery (some are used in the production brewery in the town of Lith), all without added flavouring, colouring and aromas. Our guest ale, with Oijens lager and special beers always on tap, quench the thirst of our guests in the restaurant and terrace in the village of Oijen. There is a wide choice of various home-distilled spirits for the real connoisseur. The multilingual staff will be happy to let you have a look inside the brewhouse, after which you can enjoy the views of the polder from the veranda. With a bit of luck the chef will be standing next to the hot coals on the braai. Many fresh local products are used in the Brabant cuisine, and you can really taste them. The old hay barn now serves as the Sampling Room, while the old drinking troughs in the Hap & Tap remind you that this was once the cowshed, and you can enjoy standing next to the stove.

Time for action?
In addition to the many culinary opportunities, the Oijen Beer Brewery offers many unusual activities for a wonderful family day, a night out with friends or a corporate team building event. Rise to the challenge during the Goudjacht (Gold Hunt) game, laugh your heart out during the Botsballen (Bouncy Balls) game or while playing the I Love Holland game, ride around the surroundings on a Solex motorised bike or in a tuk-tuk, take a trip in an old train, or enjoy a beer tasting: the opportunities are almost too extensive. That’s probably why a previous visitor came to the conclusion: “Definitely worth repeating!”

Brabant Bicycle Café
Oijen Beer Brewery is an official Brabants Fietscafé; a Brabant Bicycle Café. In these bicycle cafés, cyclists are made to feel especially welcome! You can stop by for a delicious bite to eat or a refreshing drink, and make use of facilities such as a repair kit, bicycle pump and e-bike charging station.
