Hotel Restaurant RICHE

Located in the friendly Brabant village of Boxmeer, RICHE is a hotel, café, restaurant and party and events venue in one. As an ambient three-star hotel – with a Van Gogh room! –  RICHE is the perfect starting point for hiking or cycling tours through what is perhaps the oldest landscape in the Netherlands. As a grand café, with a front facade that can be opened up completely in nice weather, RICHE is the place where hotel guests and locals happily mix. And in the fully renovated restaurant, the chef surprises the guests with sustainable and alternating dishes. RICHE also has various congress and party venues, for groups from two to a maximum of 1,400 (!) people. It’s not surprising then that there is always something going on at RICHE.

Surroundings
Besides RICHE’s rich history, it has been a leading hospitality business in Boxmeer for almost 100 years, the municipality harbours the unique and historic Maasheggen nature reserve. The Romans even mentioned the impenetrability of the hedges! Yet, Boxmeer has more to offer, such as a wonderful centre with a rich array of shops and hospitality venues and Castle Boxmeer that stems from the thirteenth century. Furthermore, the village of Overloon is in the municipality of Boxmeer, which makes Hotel Restaurant RICHE the perfect location for day trips to the War Museum or ZooParc for example.

Sleep as Van Gogh
As well as seventeen double rooms (which can be connected) and four single rooms, RICHE has a room furnished completely in the style of Van Gogh’s bedroom in the Yellow House. This room was inspired by a story that Van Gogh’s famous bed from the painting ‘Bedroom in Arles’ once turned up in Boxmeer. The room is an exact replica of the painting: with the same colours and even including the paintings, chair and wash basin. The neighbouring rooms will be given a touch of Van Gogh, so you can image yourself as Gauguin or Joseph and Marie Ginoux: Van Gogh’s neighbours in the French town.
